Liverpool are apparently ready despite the wave of snow hitting the country to face Norwich on Saturday afternoon at Anfield. With preparations well underway the main problem lies with the travel arrangements of the fans who have a long way to commute however assuming systems are still go I'll try and give you some sort of match preview!

Liverpool have no new injury worries but many are wondering whether new signing Daniel Sturridge will get a start or not after scoring in both games he's featured in so far. Norwich are in a better position too with players like Surman returning from injury and Grant Holt may also be ready to start after suffering a hamstring problem recently.

Norwich are currently 12th in the league 5 points behind Liverpool who are placed in 8th. Norwich are on a rather poor run at the moment losing 4 out of their last 5 Premier League games, Liverpool however have won 3 out of their last 5.

The last time the two sides met was in September and it ended up being a bit of a goal fest with the Reds taking all 3 points. Suarez scored a hat trick in the game that ended 5-2. The last time Norwich were at Anfield they managed to hold out a 1-1 draw and so they are capable of getting a result.

Stat Sandwich

  • Liverpool have scored at least once in their last 9 Premier League matches.
  • Norwich have kept 5 clean sheets at home this season but they aren't so successful away.
  • Daniel Sturridge was the first Liverpool player to score on his league debut since Luis Suarez.

Liverpool may have lost against Manchester United last weekend but there were certainly some positives to take from the game, namely Sturridge and the possibility of a great link up between him and Suarez being created. Also Borini was back fit and that provides us with another option from the bench and I felt the lads once they banged their heads together applied some good pressure and showed real fight.

Taking all this into account I feel Liverpool should be on to a winner tomorrow, Norwich are on a real bad run and unless something switches in the game on Saturday I can't see them getting a result at Anfield however I still expect them to find the back of the net. If the game goes ahead I'm going for a 2-1 Liverpool win.

Enjoy the match folks and the snow!
