Reds Through Despite Di Natale Shock

Image: Link The hard work was nearly in tatters in the dying minutes for Liverpool after Di Natale threatened to very much spoil the party but thankfully the legendary forward missed on this occasion. The Reds only needed a goal from Jordan Henderson to secure all three points and they ended the 90 minutes top of group A. Brendan Rodgers opted for a side consisting of both youth and experience for this clash with Udinese. The back four had veteran Jamie Carragher in it whilst Suso was up front supporting Suarez. It was Luis's first away appearance in Europe for Liverpool. The big team news coming from the Italians though was that Di Natale would start from the bench. It was a pacey start for Liverpool who knew that they had to give everything in this game in order to secure their progression. Justice For The 96

Ian's actual match ticket for the Leppings Lane end... For this year's Hillsborough anniversary i am proud to say that i have paired up with Ian from PassionatelyRED (@Ian_LFC) to make a blog post. At this surely emotional time i would like to thank Ian for bringing up this idea and helping me make a post which will hopefully reach a few people and help educate them about the disaster. Without further ado i shall hand you over to Ian... It is an incredible twenty two years on but it still feels like yesterday to me. I was one of the lucky ones; I survived the hell that was Hillsborough Disaster. Meanwhile ninety six fellow football fans died on the Leppings Lane terrace.
