Liverpool's Winning Streak Comes To An End

A disgruntled Dalglish...
Spurs gave Liverpool a reality check yesterday at Anfield in a 2-0 defeat for the Reds. A slow start for Liverpool meant they never really got out of the blocks, with 5th place still not settled it was in Dalglish's interest to see his side to another victory, unfortunately Redknapp was also up for that last European spot.

It didn't take long for the away side to get on the score sheet. Just 8 minutes in and a corner for Tottenham caused problems in the box, a defensive header saw the ball not quite cleared and fall to Van Der Vaart. To be honest his goal was a great one and i don't think there was much we could have done about it. The defenders were focused on the incoming corner and perhaps reactions were slow once the ball was cleared but again, i highly doubt we could of prevented Van Der Vaart's effort.

The quick pace of the Spurs start appeared to catch Liverpool off guard. In recent games it's been the Reds supplying the tempo, it wa…

102nd Minute Penalty Grabs Liverpool A Point

Awful sight: Jamie Carragher out cold after collision with Flanagan...
Liverpool gave 110% yesterday in a hard fought battle at the Emirates. With the thoughts looming from some fans of handing United the title it was nice to see the lads were on the same wavelength as myself and were going to strive to get the better over Arsenal.

It's a shame some fans wanted us to hand Arsenal a boost because to be honest, Arsenal have been victims of their own downfall, if we drew, lost or won yesterday Arsenal have already made so many mistakes and will probably continue to do so.

The same side put out by Dalglish would quickly become disorganised for Liverpool as the bad luck continued injury wise.

Just 20 minutes in and an injury to Fabio Aurelio who has only just come back to fitness meant he had to be replaced with youngster Jack Robinson. The teenager made an appearance at the end of last season making him the youngest to ever feature in a Liverpool first team.

Carroll Brace In 3-0 Win For Liverpool

A minutes silence before kick off to remember the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough and also to remember a soldier who recently lost his life in Afghanistan and ex super sub David Fairclough's wife. The silence was impeccably observed by both sets of fans.
A Liverpool side stricken with injuries yesterday managed to pull out all the stops and confidently beat Manchester City whilst maintaining a clean sheet. Three goals for the Reds were the result of a strong attack from kick off. Considering the midfield also had a major hole in it after the absence of Steven Gerrard, the lads could have fooled anyone into thinking we had drafted in Iniesta to look after the place for 90minutes.

Most fans looking at this fixture were fearing the worst. City are above us in the table and can pack a punch when their stars are up for it. Last night however Mancini's side only backed up my opinions about them, it's ok spending millions on top class players but you can'…
