Deal Agreed For Charlie Adam

CA: "I put this suit on just for you... and check the belt buckle." KD: "Hahaha, you should nae have bothered lad."
It's been a long time coming but the rumours surrounding Blackpool player Charlie Adam and Liverpool FC have finally been cleared up. Last night it was Stewart Downing dominating the tweets but after Aston Villa apparently rejected the £15million offer from Liverpool attentions turned elsewhere.

The 25 year old was linked strongly with Liverpool in the January transfer window but the deal never came to fruition. Believed to be in the region of £8 - 9million  the second deal of the window for Liverpool appears to suggest that Dalglish and co are trying to revamp the midfield. With exits in that area of the pitch also highly anticipated it is good to see some action in the window.

Dalglish will surely be raring to go with the Scottish midfielder and with the Asia Tour getting closer and closer it would be nice to see Adam alongside Henderson for Live…

Torres Nets In Blackpool Defeat

Meanwhile, in Fernando Torres' head... "Just ignore Skrtel... If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all..."
Liverpool fell to defeat yesterday as Blackpool with their 2-1 victory completed a league double over the Reds. Perhaps at fault directly was the poor defensive display from Liverpool and a sloppy midfield who were clearly suffering without Steven Gerrard. Despite all of this i think it's important to note that not many of us realistically expected three points anyway, previous matches with or without Hodgson have proved changes needed to be made.

The difference is however, i feel comfortable and confident in giving that all important "time" to Kenny Dalglish whereas i feared for my life as a football fan when handing more weeks to Roy Hodgson.

My only real problems with Dalglish's chosen line up were firstly the starting of Poulsen but given the circumstances he didn't have too many choices for the centre of midfield but i…

Dalglish's First Win?

The big Greek got the goal for Liverpool last time out...
Liverpool travel to Blackpool tomorrow for the rescheduled game after snow prevented it in the latter half of last year. A trip to the Las Vegas of England is perhaps a more exciting prospect now Kenny Dalglish is in charge but i think we all know this will be no walk in the park, after a great performance from Holloway's boys at Anfield they will surely fancy themselves again at home.
Injuries for Liverpool mean we are still without Jamie Carragher and both Joe Cole and Paul Konchesky are doubts. Blackpool are without Gilks, Martin, Harewood, Clarke and Basham whilst Carney is out on International duty. Grandin is a doubt with a hamstring problem.
Kyrgiakos scored Liverpool's only goal last time out in the 2-1 defeat. And it took the Reds nearly 60minutes to get one back against a confident Blackpool side.
Varney is a real talent for them and clearly one to watch, no wonder bids made for their star man have been rejected t…

Boxing Day At Blackpool

If the match is off i say we all throw snowballs at Gary Neville...
Liverpool's Boxing Day trip to Blackpool may be off before we've even thought of who's going to be in the starting line up. Blackpool are the only Premier League club who don't have under soil heating. With well equipped grounds in the country already struggling to cope it's looking doubtful that Blackpool's pitch and surrounding areas will be usable/safe.
For this reason this match preview is going to be ridiculously short (yes that's right even shorter than usual! haha) although fingers crossed the game actually goes ahead.
Liverpool still have injuries to Carragher, Agger and Spearing. Captain Steven Gerrard was believed to be making his return against Fulham but after the match was postponed this still remains a mystery. Should the game go ahead on Boxing Day though you would like to think the number 8 will start.
Blackpool are holding out ok concerning injuries with their main men still av…

Liverpool Remain In Relegation Zone As Pressure Rises For Roy

No. It's not a dream folks, Liverpool after 7 games are in the relegation zone. Perched in the very undesirable 18th position above Wolves and West Ham with just 6 points despite having played beatable opposition in terms of Birmingham, Sunderland and now Blackpool.
Fernando Torres leaving the field spelt bad news for the Reds from the start but the lack of heart from the players, the unworkable set up from Roy, not to mention his forced move to use Carragher as a left back meant Liverpool in the end didn't deserve to win. Blackpool played well and i think it's important that we don't just highlight our poor display but give them credit.
Roy's XI was a bit of a mixture this time, as mentioned with all out natural left backs injured and usual recovery man Agger also out, he opted to push Carragher out to the left. Glen Johnson was on the right with Skrtel and Kyrgiakos in the centre and Reina in goal.
Midfield was made up of Meireles on the right (?…

Seasiders Ready For Battle Of The Pools

Will it be a sweet ending for Liverpool tomorrow?...
Premier League new comers Blackpool would usually be a blessing to read on the fixture list for Liverpool, especially at home. But after the Reds worst start in the top flight since the 53/54 season, all of a sudden confidence appears to be low.
In your head you still like to feel as though Liverpool will be down for a set win here, pop it on your accumulator it's a no brainer right? I hate to say it but tomorrow has a very strange aura about it and it feels as though if the Reds aren't careful they could be in for a kick in the teeth.
An almost fully fit Blackpool side missing only Alex Baptiste will be well up for this kind of game, along with the character and passion of manager Ian Holloway, if they can get an early goal who knows.
Of course we shouldn't and can't forget the mauling Blackpool received from title challengers Chelsea in a game they lost 4-0. Chelsea back in 08/09 were a team we were fighting with, now …
